In his speech, he stated that someone who thinks critically needs to be able to identify assumptions behind thinking and actions and check the accuracy and validity of those assumptions. On the other hand, people that think creatively is able to view ideas and practices from multiples points of view. Also, those are able to communicate learning throught a variety of forms like usinf visual, symbolic or audios.
After all, for him some characteristics of both kind of thinking are:
* Both are based on evidence and experience that can be justified.
* Assumptions has to be check by proving their validity
* View from different perspectives
*Use multiples modalitites to put them in action

During the speech, Stephen also talked about the kinds of assumptions, such as:

*CAUSAL

*PRESCRIPTIVE

*PARADIGMATIC
